Mount Questions
One of the most important features of all Docktail® Bars is flexibility. Because every boat is different, each Docktail® Bar has several different mounting options. It can be mounted on most boats by choosing one of the mounts (we stock and sell 4 mount types) we are compatible with using the pre drilled mounting holes on each bar. This gives you the flexibility to choose the mount that works best on your boat. Selection of the appropriate mount for you depends on the boat design and which location you want to mount your bar. Magma® "LeveLock"™ All-Angle Adjustable Fish Rod Holder Mount
Hardware Needed - 4 ¾ inch ¼ 20 Flathead Stainless Steel Screws (included in online purchase)
Seasucker® 4 ½” Suction Cup Mounts
2 are needed for this Application – Hardware Needed – 1 ¾ inch ¼ 20 Flathead Stainless Steel Screw per suction cup (included in online purchase)
The 4.5″ SeaSucker® vacuum cup can be installed using 1 ¾ inch ¼ 20 Flathead Stainless Steel Screw per suction cup. Although you can indeed mount the bar using 1 suction cup we recommend using 2 (4 ½”) suction cups for maximum stability. Using 1 suction cup allows the bar to rotate side to side. By using two suction mounts, you eliminate the possibility of a rotating motion. Lastly, remember the suction cups need to be suctioned to a smooth surface to work properly, for example, no non-skid.
Docktail® Pontoon Rail Mount - we carry mounts for 1" and 1 1/4" square pontoon tubing.
Hardware Needed - 4 ¼-20, 1” Flathead Stainless Steel screws with flat washers (included in online purchase).
Pedestal Table Top Replacement
Perfect if you want to replace your existing pedestal table top with one of out Bars or Tables which re much more functional. Hardware needed included in online purchase. You must have existing pedestal and floor mount to work. This replaces your top only.
